Meditation is simply the practice of quieting your mind. As a beginner, you might only experience moments of mental stillness lasting 5-10 seconds at a time. Don't worry - this is normal! With regular practice, these peaceful moments naturally extend. After about 4 months, you might enjoy up to 10 minutes or more in this calm mental state.

When you reach this quiet place in your mind, wonderful things happen. You might:
